Job Description

  • Receive approved production plan and shortage list of Refrigerator items from planning department on 18th of every month for next month ordering and supplies schedule
  • Maintain record of quotation of each part (standard format, Annexure A) and no any purchase order should be issued without approved quotation
  • Make file or list of every month rates of all items and close the month
  • Generate purchase order as per approved quotation and get approval from concerned authorities
  • Release delivery schedule as per production plan by 21st of every month
  • Circulate delivery schedule to below mentioned concerned:-
        • Goods receiving officer (IGP), (schedule and purchase order number)
        • Incoming store officer (schedule and purchase order number)
        • Vendor (schedule and approved copy of purchase order)
  • Follow up purchase order and call supplier on daily basis for next day supplies status or plan
  • Make list of current day material receiving and communicate with supplier in case of supply missed in schedule and issue revised schedule and share with supplier their monthly compliance status with schedule
  • In case of revision in production plan by planning department, issue revised schedule to vendors and other concerned at the same day
  • Prepare warehouse stock status on daily basis and share with Manager
  • Prepare purchase order follow up status on daily basis
  • Delete purchase orders which are older than two months
  • Keep updated record of procurement department (printer, other department communication etc)
  • Arrange the documents and process the material which is being sent to supplier on subcontracting basis (plastic resins for parts, hinges for paint etc) and keep record of it
To do any other task assigned by the seniors

  • Creation and improvement of best-practice based processes (e.g., leadership of high-value/strategic sourcing efforts)

  • Selection and management of procurement systems
  • Management of procurement staff in (and across) sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities
  • Creating a talent management process in coordination with HR to ensure that the right resources are in place
  • Managing the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training development and knowledge management capabilities
  • Leadership of cross-functional teaming across other business functions and initiatives
  • Budget management for categories under management and for procurement itself
  • Development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement
  • Building a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) to help transform Procurement, and also support broader transformation of the value chain and the enterprise
