Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 8-15 years Medical Billing and Collection experience who will take full ownership of the Accounts & Collection position at a medium size company.
Applicant will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generate weekly aging reports in a timely manner. The candidate must have knowledge of general accounting principles and be proficient at MS Office (especially Excel).
The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he will frequently deal with higher levels of management and clients.
Job Requirements:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports Perform internal audits to improve department results.
Create an efficient medical billing team overseeing all activity through month end closing and reporting.
Conduct account research and aging analysis.
Maintain an accurate aging report Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
Perform account reconciliations.
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
Review medical billing aging to ensure compliance.
Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records Investigate and resolve customer queries.
Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
Communicate with customers/clients via phone, email, mail or personally
