Job Description

The Business Analyst (BA) position is part of the Marketing Shared Services, Content Operations team. This role is responsible for using Pacsquare’s technology, systems, and processes to support the marketing, sales, and services organizations. This includes understanding and working with Digital Asset Management (DAM) and other content-management-related concepts and systems; including SharePoint 365 and Jive.


Key Responsibilities
• Understand the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders.
• Identify current- and future-state business processes.
• Help the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future.
• Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional specifications.
• Examine existing business processes, and meet with end-users and other stakeholders and constituencies to understand what the business does, how it operates in order to:
Identify gaps in processes, opportunities for improvements and automation
Define and document functional and non-functional requirements and use cases
Assess business needs and identify business priorities
• Facilitate design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution.
• Deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
• Write technical documents and review documentation produced by other authors, ensuring content is clear, concise, and accurate and/or on point including:
Functional and non-functional testable requirements and use cases
Test scripts mapped to requirements
Business process and workflow maps
Mockups or wireframes of proposed functionality
Report specifications
• Using PowerPoint and other technologies, generate and deliver technical presentations for both technical and functional audiences including:
Software demonstrations
• Create or configure, test, and/or implement new workflows, features and functionality, and other tools monitoring user adoption and recommending changes accordingly
• Use proven project management and work management methods to:
Ensure work stays within the defined scope, budget and timeline
Conduct business meetings and provide updates to senior leadership
Assist in the management of risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (RAID)

Job Specification

• Must have a high-degree of business acumen.
• Must have excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Must be articulate – can express himself/herself individually and in front of groups with people in both IT and business functions (all levels of the organization) or when presenting via web meeting technology.
• Experience with basic project management and software development methodologies.
• Experience and proven ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex tasks and enterprise-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects and tasks, and execute quickly in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience using portals, intranet sites, collaboration applications in addition to understanding web parts / portlets / widgets.
• Knowledge of user experience and general software design concepts.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with developers, project managers, quality assurance analysts, clients and product owners.

• Experience using SharePoint for more than just storing documents; For example, working with web parts. Preferably 4 years’ experience.


Preferred Skills and Knowledge
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint Designer including working with workflows.
• Working knowledge of Visio, OneNote, Jive, Nintex and/or a variety of other automated workflow tools, Yammer and OneDrive for Business applications.
• Experience with Business Objects.
• Ability to write, edit, and understand HTML.
• Working knowledge of 3rd Party SharePoint Migration Tools.
• Microsoft Certification in SharePoint a plus.
