Main duties and responsibilities.

• To prepare students for the IELTS examination, in accordance with the course syllabus and materials, and as advised by the Director of the Language Centre.
• To familiarise students with the format of the IELTS and help them develop effective examination strategies
• To assist in the administration and marking of placement tests at the start of the programme.
• To set and mark homework on a regular basis.
• To assist, as and when required, in the evaluation of the programme and the teaching materials.
• To keep accurate records of students' attendance, progress and performance.
• To keep a daily record of progress through the materials with each class.
• To complete a maximum of two reports on each student's performance in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking skills.
• To attend a one-day briefing before the start of the course and a one-day de-briefing arranged at the end of the course.
• To attend staff meetings, as required by the Director of the Language Centre.
• To dress in a professional manner and behave according to local customs (as advised by the Director of the Language Centre).

• Ability to teach English language and study skills to an intermediate proficiency level
• Ability to assess and provide effective feedback on student performance
• Ability to propose learning materials and activities appropriate to the needs of the students
