The following are some responisibilities but not limited to:
1-Ensures the availability of personnel protective equipment and other equipment for fire fighting and other hazardous operations. Coordinates and facilitates the emergency preparedness for handling the serious catastrophic situation at site.
2-Coordinate all the HSE activities with customer at PROJECT site through their respective HSE Coordinator / Representative.
3-Keeping close liaison with the client safety department.
4-Ensure that HSE Procedures and Practices are implemented. Analyzes accidents and injuries occurring most often at the site and will recommend remedial measures to achieve HSE goals. The recommendations will be communicated to PROJECT site accordingly.
5-Arranging training of staff/workers for all safety discipline and shall keeps adequacy of such training by monitoring the personnel.
6-Advising the management for measures required for pollution free, healthy and hygienic atmosphere for site workers/ staff.
7-Making arrangements for fire prevention and emergency evacuation arrangements.
Arranging first aid kits for all busy locations of site/ works/ camp.
8-Introduction/ installation of safety signs/ warnings and arrangement of safety tool box meetings with site staff, as per requirement.
9-Submission of accident reports properly and also weekly/ monthly reports for Project Manager.
10-To stop unsafe work and will report to the project /Site Manager who will order to restart the work after ensuring the compliance of required HSE procedures at site.
11-H.S.E Audits/inspection of the work site will be conducted as per requirement. The finding of reports in form of uncontrollable non-compliance will be submitted to site management for necessary action.
12-Develop and distribute HSE bulletins for sharing findings of injuries/incidents and other information related to HSE.
13-Develop HSE training material for first line supervisors and workers.
14-Proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments.
15-Liaison as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities, and assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions.
16-Prevention and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks.
Minimum Graduate in any discipline. An Engineering Degree will be preferred.
