• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
• They are expected to solve the problems that are faced by the development team so that the work of the organization can be carried out effectively
• Prepares guidelines by describing operational and testing methods and procedures.
• Maintains and improves quality results by completing quality assurance tests; following standards;

• The assistant mechanical engineer should be well equipped with the basic rules and regulations of engineering. He should know the terminology required for performing the functions
• He should have the knowledge of the mechanical equipments and systems so that he can perform the duties assigned to him properly
• He should be a good team player and should be good at helping his subordinates in case they need some help
