The Ruby on Rails developer must posses the following qualities/skills:At least 1+ years experience with Ruby on Rails.Have in-depth knowledge of Rails framework.Knows best practices of Ruby and Rails.Familiar with web services, and REST API's.Used well known ruby gems like devise, cancan, sorcery etc.

Responsibilities

Develop new Rails-based applicationsMaintain and add features to existing web applications.

Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful

Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes

Able to implement automate test cases .Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g. Git

Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bower, Bundler, Rake, etc

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code

Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic

Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and devise solutions to the problems occur on code level.

Help maintain code quality

Hands on with all of the GEMS and libraries for this version of the ruby/rails

Hands-on with command line rails and ruby interface to install, configure, use versions and packages

Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.

Build and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and other open-source platforms and technologies
