Division Description: Crypto Coast is an incubator which assists early-stage startups in the blockchain sector, based in Ireland. Developer/Web Designer, to work on a 6-month project to design and create a new web application. Focusing on User Experience (UX) and Graphical User Interface (UI), the designer will work to improve aesthetics and usability and will build/revise compelling interfaces for existing services as well as for new features using the latest web trends and all available tools to augment the user experience. The objective of the role is to merge business and user goals and to create web solutions that deliver on intuitive user interfaces which increase ease of adoption and drive business success.

Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience in web design, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Experience with prototyping and web tools.
- Able to brainstorm effectively and provide multiple problem-solving solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to stay on task working
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and others in a multidisciplinary team to define requirements and develop solutions.
- Research and observe user tasks and integrate findings with business requirements to transform the user’s mental model into an intuitive user interface.
- Pro-actively seek out and recommend new concepts to improve content and performance.
- Design intuitive and simple user interfaces for web and mobile solutions, with storyboards and mockups.
- Prototype designs iteratively, and integrate into the UI design of the solution, leveraging and recommending appropriate tools.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code (such as HTML, XML, and JavaScript) for components of the website.
- Utilize cognitive techniques to evaluate UI and UX with end users to refine and ensure they complement the users’ tasks, environments, profiles, and needs.
- Design, develop and maintain effective graphics and look-and-feel, aligned with that of the company.
- Work with the team to test all new functionality.
Good to Haves:
- Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment;
- Experience with full stack performance optimization is a plus;
- Experience in an early stage technology startup;
- Good English language skills a plus;
- Previous experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge about the cryptocurrency and blockchain sector preferred
- Able to handle constructive criticism.
