Job Description: For a fintech/online trading services client, we are seeking a Order-matching/Low-latency Java or C++ developer. For an online exchange trading platform which has an exciting opportunity in the real-time, low-latency platform space for an efficient, self-directed, core infrastructure developer with desire to learn new system and design techniques.
Responsibilities:
The role requires experience with building low-latency trading system using Core Java or C++, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver in the following key area:
- Help develop and maintain Java based automated platform
- Impact trading marketplace -> build using smart contract & blockchains
- Establishment of payments, receipts & accounting framework for marketplace transections
Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience in a office environment building low-latency system using Core Java or C++
- Network programming
- Unix/Linux development
- Experience with exchange connectivity or order management
- Experience with some subset of: Market Data, Order Management System, Order entry, OMS, FIX, Algo trading, Smart Router, SOR, DMA, OMS, and ITCH.
- If candidate is from a Java background, then strong “Core Java” development skills
- Great engineering skills and strong computer science fundamentals. IT engineering or related degree a plus but not essential;
- Ability to stay on task working autonomously.
- Able to handle constructive criticism.
Good to Haves:
- Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment;
- Experience with full stack performance optimisation is a plus;
- Experience in an early stage technology startup;
- Good English language skills a plus;
- Previous experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge about the cryptocurrency and blockchain sector preferred
