We seek to expand our repertoire of innovative mechanics and gameplay. The Gameplay Designer will focus mainly on creation and polish of new player abilities and game systems. The ideal candidate has worked in Unity across a number of genres, photoshop, corel. with an eye for designing great player experiences. A passionate interest in high-quality narrative is a must.
Develop and iterate the more gameplay-centric aspects of new Telltale properties. Emphasis on player experience, and traditional game feedback/control, i.e. mini-games, action beats, inventory and role-playing systems.
Assist and instruct other designers with prototyping playable spaces, including environment layout, AI pathing, interactive object placement, player navigation and scripting.
General support for Unity game design best-practices.
Thorough proficiency with recent versions of Unity
Demonstrated skill building and shipping systems, levels and other interactivity to a high-level of player satisfaction.
Team player—willing and able to collaborate and help other designers achieve their goals. Excellent soft-skills and communication habits a must.
Work history includes a number of diverse genres.
2 years experience as 3d game designer, game scripter or level designer preferable.
Interest in, and passion for, interactive narrative.
