Senior Software Engineer

The candidate should be proficient in the end-to-end development of web and mobile products including requirement specifications, architecture, database development, programming, testing and launch. The candidate should demonstrate dedication to the craft of writing code that they can be proud of. The candidate will be required to write beautiful, fast code to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. The candidate will also oversee junior developers and guide them as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write clean, well-designed code
• Develop scalable architecture for products
• Design and develop databases
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Requirements

• Expertise in multiple programming languages such as PHP, HTML, Java, CSS, HTML, NodeJS, Android App, iOS App development
• Experience with MVC frameworks including Laravel
• Experience in common third-party APIs and Interface Protocols and standards (JSON, SOAP, AJAX, JQuery, Web Services, Twitter, Google Maps, Facebook, PayPal, Amazon and others)
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
• Good knowledge and working experience of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL and MongoDB)
• Good knowledge of version control tools (Git)
• A passion for technology and a knack for quality and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and devise logic on your own
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role, 5-7 years of overall experience
• At least a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• A familiarity with mobile apps development platforms (iOS and Android) will be considered as a plus point
• Above all, a ‘can do’ attitude for all nature of work and the initiative to learn new technologies shall be fundamental in order to succeed
• Experience with server management and Amazon AWS will be an additional plus
