Description
Part of a team that is responsible for iterative testing of a new software product which is under development, using test cases provided by the client as well as ad hoc testing.
Responsibilities
Run test cases in order, using assigned platform (operating system and default browser)
Use various accounts and browsers according to specific test case
Retest bugs/defects on two alternative platforms to determine if they are platform-specific
Perform ad hoc testing upon request
Compile and post detailed daily progress report containing results of each test case
Write new test cases for new features as they are developed
Meet deadlines and rate of testing goals set by client and project manager
Respond quickly to requests for further details or verification testing
Job Specification
Detail oriented
Good written communication skills
Ability to recognize logic and gaps in logic within and across test cases
Ability to recognize how differences between platforms affect test cases
Proficiency in Windows
Proficiency in other operating systems (Mac, Linux, Android, iOS) desirable, but not required
