Duties of the Area Sales Manager include:

1. Finding new customers and constantly expanding the business.
2. Monitoring sales data and keeping up to date with current market trends and customer needs.
3. First class consultative sales skills. Good understanding of Features and Benefits.
4. Preparing account profiles for company accounts.
5. Identify and create a strong loyal relationship with all decision makers.
6. Ability to complete management reports on time essential.
7. Aware of applicable company KPIs and business plan.
8. Be aware of all competitive activities within major accounts.
9. Sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and its products
10. Give pricing information to management and make recommendations.
11. Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers if appropriate.
12. Create sales strategies for sales manager/ director to approve

Requirements for the role:

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
2. Demonstrable and successful sales track record
3. Good technical background in product area is desirable
4. Good presentation skills
5. Proven record of effectively meeting sales quotas
6. A degree in business studies would be an advantage
