The eligibility criteria and other details are as under:
Minimum sixteen (16) years of qualification in Financial Management preferably CA/ACMA
A member of a recognized body of professional accountants with at least five years relevant experience, in case of Public Sector Companies having total assets of five billion rupees or more;
A person holding a master degree in finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission with at least ten years relevant experience, in case of other Public Sector Companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / RESULT AREA
To provide for the safeguarding and protection of all funds received by GWMC.
To provide for authorization of expenditures and for the disbursement of funds in payment of all current bills of GWMC.
To supervise the accounting system and make certain that accounting records are maintained in an orderly manner.
To setup safe guards in cash disbursement.
To prepare timely and accurate report on the financial operations of GWMC.
Review and submission of monthly and periodical reports to Managing Director.
To be responsible for the reconciliation of the accounting system to ensure its integrity and the integrity of the reports produced from accounting records
To prepare the operating budget of GWMC in coordination with other departments.
To make arrangements for the annual independent financial audit.
To implement appropriate recommendations from independent auditors that impact financial operations of GWMC.
To invest the funds in accordance with investment policies of GWMC.
To maintain cash accounts in profitable banking accounts.
To assist the Managing Director in the strategic planning process particularly with regard to the development of financial plans.
To perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director from time to time.
To ensure appropriate advice is given to the board on all financial matters, for keeping proper financial records and accounts and for maintaining and effective system of internal financial control 16. Other tasks assigned by competent authority
