Job Description

Job Purpose

onewood is looking for a Technical Recruiter to join its HR department. The key responsibilities for this role include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles. He/she is expected to build a strong tech talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees for our IT positions.


  • Write and post technical job descriptions.
  • Source potential candidates on niche platforms, like LinkedIn.
  • Search for job candidates using various sources such as databases, internet recruiting resources, networking, job fairs, media advertisements, recruiting firms or employee referrals.
  • Specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes.
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities.
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioural questions).
  • Coordinate with IT team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs.
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates.
  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals.
  • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees, scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Maintain employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to management, designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.


  • Ability to develop recruiting strategies that meet anticipated staffing needs.
  • Good interview skills to screen the potential candidates to get information on their work history, job skills, training and education.
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, Skype and structured).
  • Detail-oriented and have strong interpersonal, listening and speaking skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven and ambitious individual willing to take up workplace challenges.

    Job Specification

    • 3+ years of proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter ideally in a technology firm.
    • BSc in Human Resources Management, IT or relevant field.
    • Specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes.
    • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for IT roles.
