We are seeking a Country Manager in Pakistan with depth and knowledge of the cotton supply chain.

About the role

We have a superb opportunity for an experienced Country Manager, to join the leadership team in CottonConnect. Responsible to drive the enterprise agenda in Pakistan, delivering against CottonConnect’s social, environmental and financial targets. Ideally you will have held a similar role and will be looking for your next career challenge, the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop an appropriate strategy for Pakistan, taking advantage of commercial opportunities to create long term partnerships.
  • Lead the annual planning process for Pakistan, in budgeting and cost management in line with the company’s business goals.
  • Identify and building relationships with key stakeholders, strategic partners and the farming industry. Proactively sourcing new business opportunities.
  • Ensure that all business operations run smoothly and in line with CottonConnect’s strategic goals and values.
  • Manage the successful delivery of customer programmes and monitor performance.
  • Service the needs of existing relationships
  • Be the CottonConnect expert in Pakistan, provide the company with regular updates and advise, being the specialist in local knowledge.

About you

  • An individual who sees the bigger picture and can provide a strategic vision and direction for Pakistan in business planning, budgeting and partnership building.
  • You will have a proven track record in project management, financial and business planning.
  • A determined, competitive, resourceful independent self-starter with good commercial sense who is keen to have influence with people and events around them.
  • A sociable, persuasive, encouraging and eager communicator who enjoys interacting with people face to face, through written communication and through virtual networks.
  • An individual who understands the value of building and maintaining relationships for the long term.
  • A prompt, ready and slightly restless energy and a keenness to keeping things moving forward and followed through to completion.
  • Experience of international brands/retailers and an understanding of textile supply chains.
  • A credible business leader, adept at working at a senior level with a good level of experience within the textile industry as well as experience working within the business or private sector.
  • You will be able to travel in country and overseas
