Job Description
The Research Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the core research staff. Research Assistants will provide technical support for data collection, data entry and data management. They will also contribute to the initial level of analysis of research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Assisting the team in designing research tools
2.Contributing in data collection and organizing the collected data properly
3.Transcribing the recorded data using computer software
4.Entering the data properly in various databases and analysis software such as Excel, Access, SPSS, Nvivo etc
5.Undertaking initial level analysis by cleaning, sorting and categorizing the data and developing graphs and initial reports
6.Providing support for desktop research/ literature based researches on specified areas
7.Exploring and compiling information related to online resources and research events
Job Specification
- Organization and time management skills (to organize resources as well as his/her own time);
- Reasonable command over English language skills
- Initiative taking and a creative approach to problem-solving;
- Good team working skills;
- Competence for using MS Word, Excel, SPSS, Power point and various search engine;
- Good typing speed (40-50 words per minute)
