Network Support Engineer - Checkpoint ASA Firewall

We are hiring for the Position of Remote Network Support Engineer for Remote support of Checkpoint & ASA Firewalls.

Checkpoint Firewall Engineer will provide technical leadership in the architecture, design, engineering, implementation, security, and management of the enterprise-wide firewall platforms. This individual will be part of an engineering team responsible for overall architecture and its implementation, prioritization of projects, and interfacing with stakeholders. The position will also be responsible for substantial network planning and design focused on new solutions along with efficient and effective growth and expansion. Strategic planning of active/active architectures, multiple data center integration, and DR and resiliency.

1. Strong working experience both deploying and managing large and complex PaloAlto, CheckPoint, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA environments.
2. Experience architecting and building secure networks across a variety of environments; cloud, on-prem, hybrid, containerized, and serverless.
3. Experience designing and building advanced policy sets using layers, filters, application id’s, etc.
4. Experience working with secure web gateway technologies such as ZScaler, Symantec, etc.
5. Working experience with traditional network infrastructure (switching/routing) across a variety of vendors (HP, Cisco, Juniper, Brocade).
6. Proficiency in client and server operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux
7. Broad experience with foundational security concepts.
8. Ability to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non technical audiences.
9. Experience authoring security runbooks, policy, and best practice documentation
10. Ability to autonomously prioritize and successfully deliver across a portfolio of projects
11. Up to 50% out-of-town travel may be required to client locations in New England and New York Metro.
12. Security Engineers work from home when not visiting client locations.
13. UTM Firewalls: Fortinet, PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA
14. Centralized Antivirus / AntiMalware Systems: Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Malwarebytes
15. TCP/IP, Switching and Routing; (Cisco, Huawei) routers, switches and firewalls
