We are seeking a Desktop/Server Support Engineer to join our team! The ideal person would be self-driven with excellent communication skills and is willing to learn new technologies. Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, a confident presence, adept logical troubleshooting, hardworking, determine to find root cause of an issue for customers.
- Manage all aspects of the systems platform
- Basic troubleshooting network & system issues
- Administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange and SQL
- Administration of virtualization technologies
- Installation/configuration experience of client computers/ thin clients
- Utilize and maintain backups and disaster recovery tools for all clients on a regular basis
- Execute sensitive data backup and restoration procedures
- Document all technical procedures and user guides
Additional Responsibilities:
- Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
- Fast turnaround of customer requests
- Business awareness: specific knowledge of the client and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Assess off-hours support as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a network or systems administrator
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications (not immediately required):
- Certifications in any of the following: COMPTIA A+, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA
