Oracle Database Developer/Administrator

Generix Solutions is looking for a full-time experienced Oracle Database Architect/Administrator/Developer. It is an expert level position to develop your career by working with a highly professional team from one of the top software houses in Pakistan, developing industry-leading software solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for taking business requirements and creating database schema to reflect the intent of the requirements
• Write efficient complex queries, profile and optimize query code as well as use capabilities of the database to improve performance
• Database Administration and Data Migration experience is a strong plus
• Ability to work efficiently on Oracle mainly as well as Microsoft SQL Server
• Ensure data integrity for Business Requirements
• Scripting or programming experience for in house applications
• Create and maintain the database schemas based on business and project requirements
• Understand the intended use of the database structures & help educate development team members
• Create upgrade scripts to move changes from development to production
• Responsible to perform query optimization, database design and writing complex queries, stored procedures/functions, views, DDL/DML scripts and review/feedback to other teams
• Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans
• Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
• Maintain database documentation
• Any other tasks assigned by the management

• 2-5 years in DB Development/administration with Oracle with excellent oral and written communication skills (English and Urdu)
• Strong in Oracle by using Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Strong in Database Designing, ERDs, Schema Creation, Scripting or Back-end Programming
• Detail-Oriented, Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
• Ability to interact with stakeholders (users and developers) and translate business requirements into technical implementations
• A team player and also able to work independently
• Certification(s) in Oracle is a great plus
