Java Software Engineer

Introduction

TPL Maps team is a part TPL Trakker. We’re looking for an experienced Web developer to join our team.

You will be joining a highly talented team and will be working on some of the most cutting edge tools in the industry and will help one of the fastest growing SaaS based platform in the country.

Responsibilities

• Author, maintain and enhance Java application and REST APIs
• Maintain and enhance critical applications written in Java, Spring, Hibernate
• Actively engage with Product Manager Quality Analysts to develop sprint goals/commitments
• Actively engage in planning and committing to products for sprints
• Perform Shippable product demonstrations
• Mentor and Lead by example their Scrum Team colleagues through informal communication and openness/knowledge sharing
• Provide accurate daily update of tasks and stories
• Participate and engage in all team meetings and all scrums

Qualifications

• Demonstrated extensive hands on application development work experience throughout the entire project lifecycle in customer-facing websites and portals

• Demonstrated experience implementing UI/UX designs and troubleshoot/resolve defects in UI components working with creative agencies

• Strong architecture, analysis, design, coding, and code review skills in cloud based responsive web applications

• Strong working experience in building REST services using Spring Boot Framework
• Knowledgeable and experienced with micro-service architecture.
• Experience of running Docker & Kubernetes in production a plus
• Comfortable with Microsoft REST API guidelines and Swagger
• Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases
• Good knowledge of git feature branch workflow
• Independent and motivated

• Passionate about writing good code and maintaining it
