HVAC Technician

• Learn locations of HVAC equipment and how they relate to each building.
• Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment.
• Maintain all related recommendations, i.e. valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters, and lubrication etc.
• Learn basics of equipment management controls, to be able to start, stop, seek status or change conditions on HVAC systems.
• Must know how to prepare Chillers and Cooling Towers and their inspection, including any refractory work, cleaning and installing new seals.
• Run Cooling Towers and Chiller plants to maintain system temperatures and equipment runtimes.
• Train other HVAC Technicians and staff in preventative maintenance & repair
• Set equipment trends to monitor energy consumption.
• Works with outside vendors, engineers and consultants on personal basis.
• Perform day-to-day operations of the HVAC

• Working knowledge of cooling towers and chiller systems.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
