Job Description
- Advise country management of any changes and recommended countermeasures
- Provide direction, support and advice on security matters
- Advise on any security related changes and recommend security practices to ensure policies and business needs are met to specifications
 Source appropriate security vendors and consultants with respect to the purchase of security equipment, undertaking of investigations, etc
 Monitor and audit the security services provided and maintain a monthly performance report
Law Enforcement, Security Officials, Local Authorities & Regulatory Bodies, Security Consultants, Private Investigators
 Establish professional liaison to ensure strong links are maintained between Org and such authorities
- Maintain close working relationship
- Enlist the support of all staff to ensure that environment is safe and secure
 Liaise closely to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.
Regional Office
- Provide regular updates on security issues
- Ensure compliance to regional security policies and procedures
Driving Security Excellence
 Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and security practices to safeguard employees, customers' shipments, assets and information against loss, damage or incident.
 Co-ordinate country security activities and ensure compliance of staff and sub-contractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual.
 Conduct security audits (and assist other audit teams e.g. TSP), both proactively and reactively to assess the effectiveness of security practices and procedures at country sites.
 Co-ordinate the implementation of stipulated and other relevant Security training programmes for country personnel and in particular specific training programmes such as SAFE.
 Conduct Security related investigations and other enquiries as required.
Security related Networking
 Developed extensive contacts with Security personnel in a variety of industries, including the airfreight /airline industry as well as local law enforcement and regulatory agencies
 Develop and maintain extensive internal contacts within Org as security of the shipment custody is an end-to-end process
Security Incident Database - Information Management
 Provide input and participate in the reporting of security incidents into the database
 Prepare and analyse the database information for the production of regular reports on shipment and other security incidents, including Dangerous Goods. Where appropriate, recommend and initiate actions to investigate and resolve significant security incidents as they occur.
External security analysis
 Maintain a current threat and risk analysis by systematic analysis of national and international events and criminal trends.
- Incumbent has no direct reports and authority over country line and functional personnel. Nevertheless he/she must be able to demonstrate ability to influence decisions/actions through provision of value-added inputs into the organisation's business processes.
Job Specification
5-7 years experience in security, military or police
(for individual contributors without security teams: 3-5 years)
