About Telenor Global Shared Services Pakistan

Telenor Global Shared Services Pakistan delivers transactional business services in the areas of Finance & Accounting and IT. Together with Telenor GSS Norway and SSC Norway delivers efficient business support to Telenor employees to make their work easier.

Position Related:

The resource will be responsible development, testing and maintenance of Middleware, front end & cloud based applications. This role will be a key player for development and quality assurance, working closely with architect, Operation and business team.

To deliver micro services based solutions deployed on local Infrastructure / Cloud

To ensure timely delivery of applications / services meeting quality standards

To identify and suggest areas of improvement and provide solutions

To provide efficient support to customers in Nordic region

Developing JAVA/J2EE applications/services

Raising flags when delays are encountered or risk is identified

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

Bachelors/Masters in IT/Computer Science

Work experience:

Java/J2EE Development Experience in frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring JDBC, HTTP/SOAP & Restful services

Knowledge/Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding/experience of design for scalability, performance and reliability, preferably in Amazon Web Services

Knowledge/Experience with Docker, Kubernetes & Linux will be a plus

Knowledge/Experience with Web frameworks such as Angular will be a plus

Management of continuous integration/deployment methodology for micro-services based technologies

Strong team player with ability to contribute to team efforts and look for “Best-of-bread” solutions

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

Hands-on experience of developing & integrating Java/J2EE Applications

Technically sound with Object Oriented Programming Concepts

Knowledge of DevOps methodology

Strong analytical skills and solution driven approach

Ability to deliver in a fast-paced and challenging environment focused on customer satisfaction and centricity

Ability to work under pressure

Should have aptitude towards researching and developing new tools and techniques

Excellent communication and analytical skills
