Job Description
The position is for a senior telephony/software engineer - an IP communication expert with strong knowledge of the SIP protocol. This engineer will be responsible for design, development, and support of internal products which are IP based switching and trading devices. The position requires technology evaluation, new product definition, participation in systems design, and the execution of feasibility projects. This position is responsible for assuring that we maintain or leadership in the newest technologies, product ideas, and direction. This position assures that products are created in the most efficient manner using best practices in the industry
Job Specification
- Strong design knowledge of proper software architecture.
- Experience in SIP/Simple and IP and networking protocols and architectures.
- Experience with SIP stacks (example: Radvision)
- Experience in security, including security of networks, servers, and VoIP systems.
- C, C++, database design, and object-oriented design.
- Software Development in the structures environment using source control. (Subversion, ClearCase experience desirable) and following a software development life cycle.
- Experience in using Wireshark for troubleshooting
- Embedded real-time systems.
- Windows and Linux platform experience.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of the organization including Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
- Ability to work with and influence managers and technical groups to institute technology roadmap.
- Individual must be extremely energetic and influence with a high level of conviction.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
