VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

ActionAid Pakistan (AAPK) is an International NGO working in over 47 countries, in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, on poverty eradication. AAPK is currently seeking qualified and experienced applicants to fill the following 2 positions based in its Area Office - Karachi & Abottabad. Details of the positions are:

Finance & Administration Officer :

1. Monitor financial aspects of all Development Areas reporting to the area office Peshawar.
2. Arrange for timely payments to all suppliers, consultants, vendors and staff.
3. Arrange for timely payments to DAs and report the same.
4. Maintain books of accounts of regional office.
5. Financial and administrative appraisal of new DA partners.
6. Compliance towards the Income Tax Laws of Pakistan and EOBI
7. Recommend payments after checking of required documentation.
8. Manage inventory and cash of regional office.
9. Ensure timely reporting of financial matters to head office.
10. Manage all logistic and administration support for program related activities.
11. Manage attendance record of regional office and report to head office on monthly basis.
12. Conduct detail vouching on half yearly basis to ensure control mechanisms and preparation for the internal and external audits
13. Supervise proper management of vehicle through monitoring of log book, fuel and maintenance expenses.
14. Manage and maintain an effective filing system at regional office.
15. Ensure maintenance of office facilities.
16. Coordinate with the auditors during external and internal audit

Job Specification

Qualifications and Work Experience: The applicant will ideally be an MBA with majors in Finance/ Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of work experience preferably in the development sector. Experience of working in a computerized accounting environment is a must. Knowledge and use of SUN system accounting software will be an added advantage. Applicants should have strong interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability of working in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment. This job demands meeting deadlines, working within a team and providing support to the various units of the organization.
