A) Primary Functions of the Job

An upcoming off shore software development center of a US based entity is looking for you, provided you have the ability to convince us with your expertise, with your drawing skills, if you find yourself good at characterizing stories, adding spice to our comics by bringing interesting children friendly cartoons, then you are the right person for this job. We want an innovative thinker not just a cartoon illustrator for a story.

B) Job Functions:

- Lead the design concept development, design ideas and detailed specification of visual designs for stories based on existing styles, innovations ideas and prototypes.
- Adapt to different illustration styles and have a good eye for detail. You can copy and captures different illustration and artist style and can reproduce images and illustrations.
- Explore new techniques, styles, illustration methods and technologies to be recommended and implement innovative solutions.
- Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional images and animated sequences.
- Good listener, ability to listen keenly and adapt ideas, coming up with multiple concepts and clearly articulating the trade offs of each concept and getting buy-in from all participants.
- Provide work direction, mentor, and train less-experienced writers and supported groups.
- Initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional illustrate projects; negotiate project priorities, deliverables, and timelines to meet the needs of compliance and supported functional areas.

C) Qualification and skills:

1) At least 2 year degree preferably in creative or fine arts.
2) You must first and far most a creative artist and you have vivid imagination.
3) You must be versed in traditional illustration skills, perspective, life drawing, design specifications, , design prototypes, storyboards, scenarios, color theory and basic layout design.
4) 1+ year experience of traditional illustration skills, story characters perspective, life drawing, design specifications, , design prototypes, storyboards, scenarios, color theory and basic layout design.
5) Reliable, dependable & someone who go off the way to meet deadlines.
6) Knowledge of illustration tools like adobe Photoshop, adobe illustrators, flash, 3D & character animation is a plus.

D) Evaluation Criteria:

1) Story provided, illustrating animated characters from it along with its background.
2) Demonstrated competence with fine arts sketching or painting.
3) Applicants should submit a broad example of their artwork, which demonstrates a good knowledge and expression of creative design.
4) Strong drawing skills and understanding of character development.
5) Exceptional graphic design skills such as drawing/sketching, typography, concept idealization, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout.
6) You know that hands-on learning is what it as all about.
