Job Description
- Develop and submit a work plan for the consultancy period(4 months) focused on DHIS Roll out in Bagh and Mansehra
- Lead the process of consultations and coordination with relevant provincial, state, district and national level authorities for implementation of DHIS in Bagh and Mansehra.
- Identify the resource needs(hard ware, soft ware and stationary need and trainers) for implementation of DHIS and prepare and submit budget accordingly.
- Prepare and submit procurement request for hard and soft ware things related to DHIS implementation.
- Ensure supply and provision of required item for DHIS before the start of the training.
- Plan and schedule date for DHIS training in both districts in coordination with district health authorities.
- Train the district health managers, health facility In Charges and other service providers on DHIS tools.
- Ensure installation of DHIS software in district health office and train appropriate staff on use of the software.
- Ensure follow ups involving colleagues of respective district health office on use on DHIS tools for data collection, analysis, reporting and use in the health facilities and in the district health offices for feedback ad decision making
Deliverables:
- Based on Micro plan the consultant will design and submit comprehensive training plan on DHIS tools for trainers, service providers and on software use for relevant people at district office in coordination with DOH people in district, province and state DOH offices.
- Ensure timely availability of required items (Stationary, hardware, software) in close coordination with PRIDE logistic colleagues and relevant DOH partners at district level prior to training as per set schedule.
- Conduct TOT for 8 facilitators on DHIS tools in two districts
- Training on DHIS tools for 103 service providers in Bagh and 160 service provider
- Training on DHIS software and report generation to 2 persons in each district.
- Facilitate district HMIS Coordinator for report generation and errors rectifications and submit report.
Job Specification
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of software architecture/design experience
- Must have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- At least 5 years work experience in the design and management of information systems and/or on-going operation of health management information systems (HMIS) including experience maintaining DHIS database at least two years of previous experience in the NGO Sector
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
- Ability to work under pressure for meeting the deadlines
- Strong coordination and team building skills
- Strong Report Writing Skills
