Job Description
- Compilation and entry of data collected by SPHO's from PHC facilities into database (Epi Info, excel).
- Analyze collected DHIS and other data and convert it into value added information according to Health Systems (IR-1) programme indicators.
- Review and refine data collection and verification processes and procedures to ensure that all desirable elements of data are captured by the system.
- Review and analyze data to graphically present morbidity trends based on monitoring indicators.
- Review data ensuring data integrity and verification.
- Produce reports for specific needs aimed at enhancing efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of the decision making protocols.
- Provides support to health system and other components teams on health statistics, process control, quantitative methods of analysis and report writing.
- Process integrated checklist, quarterly PIP-PH review data and PIP-PH round 2 data and Hifazat data to provide insight and value addition for analysis and decision making.
- Process data from District Health Watch Framework and District Monitoring Framework at defined frequency.
- Perform other relevant tasks as required in support of processes for strengthening data analysis and annual planning and budgeting; support communications between IR1 team and the EDO-H PRIDE focal person.
Job Specification
- Masters in Statistics, Health Informatics or Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science
- Excellent knowledge and hands on experience in Epi Info, SPSS and Excel.
- 3 years significant training, experience & skills in epidemiology, health statistics & health planning, and monitoring & evaluation.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment and in meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to take initiative and to be flexible depending on changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, writing, and reading.
