MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To increase participation, competition and skill levels within School and City.

2. To Monitor all activity in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators

3. To coach young people of all abilities and ages and cater for a wide range of experience.

4. To develop and deliver a comprehensive school cricket initiative, providing exit routes to local clubs involved in the programme.

5. To develop structured links between clubs and schools.

6. To provide assistance with coaching and tournaments for non-cricket playing schools.

7. To coach with a focus on the FUNdamentals element of Long Term Athlete Development within or outside of curriculum time.

8. To organise festivals and sustainable activities that will compliment the coaching programme.

9. To retain young people in sport by ensuring a high quality, enjoyable, young-person-centred experience and providing guidance on progression opportunities based on the young persons interests and abilities.

10. To establish multi skill clubs in partnership with local sports clubs.

11. To supervise / mentor / guide and assist casual sport coaches.

12. To undertake the preparation of programmes of work and carry out the agreed programmes in consultation with the Sport and CEO/Principle.

13. To provide quantative and qualitative progress reports on the coaching programme and any other statistical information as required by your CEO/Principle.

14. To be responsible for completing and returning the necessary forms including a register of participants, feedback questionnaires etc.

15. To conduct risk assessments at venues as and when required.

16. To work in designated communities and with identified target groups throughout the borough of Shah Faisal Colony.



17. To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time and which are commensurate with the salary and grading of the post.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering and coordinating a programme of cricket activity within the School. Delivering a full development initiative they will undertake coaching and deliver festivals, competitions and training to increase participation and competition within the Karachi City. They will address social inclusion, paying particular attention to identified communities and groups in the most deprived areas and aiming to compliment and enhance existing provision. All activity will be monitored and evaluated.
