Job Description
1. Waiter should be in presentable uniform.
2. One should have to shave daily.
3. One should not have to use any strong smell.
4. Waiter is allowed to use the oil for hair during duty.
5. No ring or any bracelet is allowed to wear during duty hours.
6. His shows should be polished.
7. Nail should be in proper manner.
8. Make a habit of using courtesy “Please”, “Thank You”, May I Help You” etc.
9. Waiter should have complete knowledge of hotel facilities, restaurant status, restaurant locations, types of room, seating available, rate of buffet, lunch dinner etc, equipment’s safety and emergency procedures etc.
10. Greet the guest as soon as they enter through the restaurant with a warm and sincere welcome and acknowledge every guest.
11. Make an eye contact with the guest and smile.
12. Make a polite conversation with the guest while seating.
13. Take orders and relay to kitchen.
14. Serve order carefully specialty foods at the patron requested.
15. Give proper attention to the guest during his stay in restaurant.
16. Waiters should be in alert posture.
17. Present bill to member and accept payment.
18. At the time of exiting from restaurant, say thanks to guest for being with us.
19. At closing give proper charge to the coming shift.
20. In case of any complaint from guest don’t argue and handle the problem professionally or inform the captain or order-taker.
21. To check the functioning of restaurant especially activities directly related with the guest (Set-up, crockery, cutlery, etc.).
