Job Description
- Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases which will then be automated, using Silktest, Perl or Python required. Java, C++ knowledge would be helpful but not required.
- Augment automation with functional black box testing as required.
- Participate in enhancement of automated testing framework.
- Review developer design and functional specifications and provide feedback during the development design phase.
- Participate in defect resolution by identifying defects, assisting developers in reproducing defects, verifying defects are fixed, and identifying new regression test cases as needed.
- Work on problems that require you to consider a wide variety of factors and use initiative and judgment to get them fixed.
Job Specification
Requirements:
- 5+ yrs of relevant QA experience.
- 2+ years of testing in Linux/UNIX and Windows environment, administration experience a plus
- 2+ years programming skills in Silktest or other UI automation tool as well as some scripting languages like Perl or Python.
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent
- Industry experience in writing automating tests
- Experience in developing test cases and test plans
- Strong knowledge of QA processes and methods

- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RDP, VNC)
- Familiarity with any hardware architectures, preferably x86
- Experience in working as a developer
