Job Description

Job Description - Exercising executive powers and authorities as delegated by the Board - Plan, develop and execute strategies in consultation with other members of the team - Build and manage relationships necessary for furtherance of the Companys objectives - Identify and assess opportunities, scope and feasibility for new initiatives - Develop a clear understanding of business issues being faced by the industry and development institutions, including, but not limited to, policy, economic development, technology needs, skill needs, commercialisation, management, etc. - Maintain close liaison with the Chairman and the Board of Directors and keep them updated on the Companys activities - Execute and implement all projects, directions and decisions of the Board of Directors - Carry out all duties and responsibilities required under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 - Represents the organisation and interacts with various institutional divisions, as well as externally to the media, government agencies, funding agencies and/or the general public - Plans, develops and implements strategies for generating resources for the organisation - Negotiate and finalise contracts, leases, deeds, mortgages and other legal documents on behalf of Management

Job Specification

Qualification & Experience Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering / Applied Sciences / MBA / CA or equivalent with 20 years of relevant experience of which at least 5 years in top management positions. Preference will be given to a person with Doctoral / Masters degree in Technology Management. Age The candidate should be 45 to 55 years of age. The ideal candidate should have the ability to provide strategic direction and execute the strategies to achieve organisation's objective. He/She should possess leadership abilities and have strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. The incumbent should have an exposure of working and interacting with strategic federal/provincial government institutions and multi-funding agencies involved in implementing new initiatives will be an important requirement. He/She should be well conversant to advice on technology policy, standards, benchmarks etc for the revival and upgradation of various industrial sectors.
