Job Description
The Product Trainer for ADRC delivers online and onsite customer training programs, classes, and technical
training courses for customers and/or employees. The Product Trainer will be responsible for writing and
developing training materials and content as well as delivering training programs & tools to support the
organizations client base. The Product Trainer will develop and deliver ongoing training to customers and
employees in areas including product knowledge, customer communications and internal systems. Training will
include instructor-led training, self-paced tutorials and web delivery methods. The product trainers at ADRC
work on problems of moderate scope and use analysis to assist customers, team members, and internal parties
to resolve issues.
Specific Duties as follows:
- Develop curriculum and training materials in conjunction with subject matter experts to provide ADRC clients with superior service.
- Managing the delivery of onsite and online training services.
- Work with sales managers, product managers, and project managers to monitor the success and quality of
training delivery
- Train trainers to assist in delivery of ongoing training programs
- Deliver product training to both internal and external customers as needed
- Coordinate training schedule, set up, creation of training materials and follow-up
- Maintain up-to-date resources for both internal and external customers
- Ability to develop and maintain certification/assessment test questions to support ADRC certification
programs for both employees and customers.
- Prior success developing and maintaining education content to support both classroom and web based
education.
- Provide the Product Planning department with market feedback (i.e. pricing, product features,
recommendations)
- Coordinating the development of new and existing services.
- Designing and delivering training consultant orientation programs for new team members
Job Specification
- Proven ability to develop training aids, make suggestions for training documentation enhancements, and
participate in the instructional development process by testing/editing training materials and providing
feedback regarding course flow, hands-on exercises and knowledge checks.
- Experience with various Windows, experience with Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access,
Project).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient presentation and training skills and strong
organizational, project management, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Superb presentation skills and methodologies.
- Ability to motivate learners and establish credibility
- Willingness to work both independently and with a team to deliver high-quality training required.
- High level of energy and enthusiasm
- Excellent attention to detail
Qualifications
- This position requires a minimum of 6 years experience with proven success in a training delivery role where
concise and accurate verbal communications as well as active listening were critical skills.
- The Product Trainer should also have experience with web browsers. In addition, strong communication and
customer service skills are required as well as advanced organization, time management, and analysis skills.
- Experience working with product development to develop product training programs
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Psychology strongly preferred
- Professional experience in educational technology, software training and/or consulting
