Marketing to attract clients
Assessment of the borrowers circumstances (Mortgage fact find forms interview). This may include assessment of credit history (normally obtained via a credit report) and affordability (verified by income documentation).
Assessing the market to find a mortgage product that fits the clients needs. (Mortgage presentation/recommendations)
Applying for a lenders agreement in principle (pre-approval)
Gathering all needed documents (paystubs/payslips, bank statements, etc.),
Completing a lender application form.
Explaining the legal disclosures.
Submitting all material to the lender.
Up holding their duty by saving their clients as much money as possible by offering best advice for the clients circumstances.
Job Specification
Strong communication skills, high levels of motivation, target orientated, driven and a competitive nature are some of the more obvious attributes employers will be probing for.We will also be looking for candidates that can demonstrate good organisation, time management, written skills and a fast paced working nature. All of these are important to succeeding in sales.
It is easy to talk the talk and say you have these skills but beware that your employer will be looking for examples on how you have used these attributes in previous roles or throughout your education.
