Job Description
- Research and development on technological and related skills activity in the country and abroad
- Map the state of technological activity in the country, emerging trends world wide and the implications for national competitiveness
- Carry out Technology Gap Analysis of industrial clusters, assess impact on GDP and identify shortcomings in installed technology and the impact on derivative products
- Develop and manage technology and skill databases to keep an updated track of technological requirements in various industrial sectors
- Assist and support the industrial clusters on technology acquisitions and also provide up-to-date information to local enterprises on sources of technology imports
- Prepare project proposals, PC-1s and other documents for funding opportunities based on the conducted research
Job Specification
The candidate should posses Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics) from a recognized local or foreign university. He/She should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with at least 03 years experience as departmental head. Preference will be given to holders of doctoral/Masters degree, supplemented with management degree from a recognized foreign university.
The candidate must be a self-starter, highly organized, polished presenter and possess top level interpersonal, business management and facilitation skills.
