Job Description

We are looking for candidates for the position of WASH Project Coordinator at a Large International NGO

Position Title: WASH Project Coordinator
[Note: WASH = Water, Sanitation and Hygiene]
Position Location: Muzafargarh
Sector: Development Sector
Company Type: Large International NGO
Salary: About 90K (Starting Salary-- expected to raise)
Duration: 1 year contract -- with possibility of extension

Essential Requirements:
-- University Degree
-- About 5 to 7 years (or more) work experience
-- Experience related to Project Manager/Program Management
-- Experience in CLTS (Community Led Total Sanitation)
-- Experience in conducting PHAST Training (Note: PHAST = Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation)
-- Experience of foreign/international NGO or organization OR donor-funded project

Purpose of Position:
-- To lead the assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) activities in affected community of designated province in line with the needs of community, projects target and schedule.

Major Responsibilities:
-- Identify targeted communities that meet company criteria for area selection.
-- Coordinate with government and other agencies or institutions about area selection, standard on company's activities and qualities,technical issues, collaboration when working in same areas and other necessary actions required to support community needs and meet projects requirement.
-- Organize donor /auditors /evaluators visits; prepare communities for the visits/ events organized for internal and external stake holders as needed.
-- Develop implementation plan and strategies to meet community needs and achieve project targets in line with budget, staffs and project deadlines.
-- Conduct monitoring on all company project activities in the field to ensure they are appropriate, used and maintained well by community and meet the quantity, quality standard, budget and timeline of projects.
-- Coordinate with other sectors for projects implementation.
-- Assist company Program Manager in ensuring that company programs and their delivery incorporate appropriate elements of accountability, monitoring and evaluation, gender, protection, disabilities and other relevant themes.
-- Identify team needs for capacity building according to the SWOT analysis of their capabilities and ongoing job performance. Plan/organize training's with the help of P&C for company's staffs either indoor or field based.
-- Monitor company staff activities to ensure they apply Code of Conduct, Sphere minimum standards and WV policies while conducting their activities and in line with project implementation planning and schedules.
-- Must have the spirit of team building, can settle clash on interest, ideas and any issues at field level, among teams and in community.

Job Specification

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
-- University Degree in Public Health,Environmental Health/Social Development or other related subject
-- 5 to 7 year Experience in Programme/Project Management
-- Knowledge of Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS)
-- Knowledge of MS office and Lotus Notes
-- About 2 year Experience in conducting training for PHAST
-- Ability to develop reports,proposals, correspondence and media interest stories
-- Ability to maintain performance in diverse culture, stressful environment, hardship conditions and resource scarcity
-- Strong Emotional stability and Physical Stamina
-- Excellent English Interpersonal Skills
