We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the accounts and taxation team for the daily tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working in Australia. (Local Candidates will be given high priority)

* Assisting in accouting projects by working on records for the preparation of financial statements

* Assisting Senior Accountant in making the tax returns and monthly/quarterly reports called BASs.

* Assist with reviewing of clients' expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

* Update financial data in Xero Software to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

* Compliance work for Self Managed Superannuation Funds

* Any other task assigned by the senior accountant and looking after day to day tax and accounting affairs

* Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

* Knowledge of financial reporting

* Technical accounting skills

* Previous experience of general accounting

* Proficiency in relevant accounting software
