Job Description
1. Facilitates communication between patient/family and provider by rendering accurate and complete interpretation of the message.
2. Recognized cultural differences enough to effectively serve as a bridge between cultures by providing information to members of the healthcare team that may impact the level of medical care provided.
3. Provides limited translation services, effectively writing in English and Spanish to effectively render discharge information.
4. Uses appropriate intervention skills to ensure an appropriate level of comprehension exists between patient/family and provider.
5. Supports performance improvement goals by successfully recording patient/family interacting encounters on a consistent basis.
6. Applies appropriate standards of practice with effective decision-making skills to ensure the best clinical outcome for the patient/family.
7. Collaborates and communicates effectively with supervisor and team to promote an environment of innovation and problem-solving.
Job Specification
1. Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interpreter.
2. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office related to Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
