Job Description
A growing financial publication house is looking for young and energetic business writers.
You will work as a ‘staff writer’ and will be producing draft articles and/or research reports under supervision of a capital market analyst.
You will be required to:
do financial analysis on US capital markets and/or global capital movements. Most of the work will involve financial analysis of a U.S listed company, its competitors, growth prospects, stock movements, income and revenue trends, etc.
hunt for new leads on financial news happenings around the world
keep track of the quarterly earnings releases of the S&P 500 companies and prepare in-depth fundamental analysis of latest earnings release.
do a basic technical analysis of stocks of S&P 500 companies and identify bulls or bears. (training will also be provided)
identify and comment on new emerging players in each industry that have enormous opportunities of growth
learn new and more sophisticated analysis tools and apply them in your writing

Job Specification
Excellent command over written English as you will be producing content that will be read by native English speakers, investors at NYSE, NASDAQ and readers of CNN, Yahoo Finance, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, etc.
At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field but MBA/BBA (Marketing) students can also apply.
Those without any background in Accounting/Finance and capital markets need not apply.
MS Excel Power User
Outstanding research skills
Must be aware about the problems and challenges being faced by the global economy
Must have experience with Bloomberg / Google Finance / Reuters and/or similar capital market information systems - if not then training will be provided
Preference will be given to those with prior experience although beginners with excellent finance background are encouraged to apply.
Application
Salary: between Rs 10,000 and Rs 30,000 per month depending on relevant experience in professional business writing.
Working hours: 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
An ideal candidate, if found, can be hired before 10th April.
