What is Category Manager Indirect Procurement?
This role revolves around Procurement of Indirect categories which includes but not limited to Professional Services, Real Estate, Logistics Services, etc.
The candidate would be required to have an ample knowledge and understanding of procurement and can visualize the future of the category. The candidate will be required to drive the category and help to achieve short and long-term goals.
The role reports directly to the Head of Indirect Procurement with no direct reports.
What does Category Manager Indirect Procurement do?
The Category Manager covers all dimensions of procurement within his/her scope of categories:
Three Key areas to focus: Strategic Sourcing, Contract management, Supplier Relationship Management
- Strategy Development: Support the Head of Indirect Procurement in development of sourcing strategies for categories in scope; Professional Services, Real Estate, Logistics Services based on company’s long-term business needs and deep industry knowledge
- Planning amp; Benefit Recognition activities - Spend amp; Demand Analysis - Supply Market Analysis activities.
- Sourcing and contracting: - Lead on Sourcing and Contracting activities and work closely together with the team - Support the contract management activities relevant categories contracts. - Liaise on with Procure-to-Pay regarding Central payment process and support if needed and when needed
- Supplier Management: - Support Supplier Relationship Management Strategy development, implementation and execution.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Category Manager Indirect Procurement?
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excels at stakeholder management, team collaboration and delivering clear, concise messaging to drive buy-in from our partners
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 5-7 years of experience in related field
- Excellent analytical, problem solving amp; influential skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Proven experience in developing strategy and understanding of forces influencing corporate approaches in purchasing projects
- Project Management Experience
- Imperative to be a team player and also able to manager internal amp; external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, solution-oriented approach to problem solving and ability to think out of box.
- Hands on experience of using Oracle Fusion and Oracle EBS and familiar with new technology tools used in reporting and analytics.
