Application Security Analyst

• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of applications to identify security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
• Work with development teams to ensure that security is incorporated into the software development life cycle.
• Conduct code reviews to identify potential security flaws in the application code.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines for application development and deployment.
• Develop and implement application security testing plans, including automated and manual testing.
• Collaborate with other IT security teams to ensure that applications meet organizational security requirements.
• Participate in incident response and remediation activities in the event of a security incident.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in application security.
• Strong knowledge of application security principles, including OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25.
• Experience with web application security testing tools, such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with security testing frameworks, such as NIST SP 800-53 or ISO/IEC 27001.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Industry certifications such as GIAC GWAPT, CISSP, or OSCP are a plus.
• Candidate must be willing to travel both nationally and internationally that will be dually compensated
• Hiring location could be either of Karachi / Lahore / Islamabad
