Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
  1. Responsible for establishing a corporate Quality Assurance Process/System and a QA Team that promotes Customer Satisfaction and that positively impacts the financial performance of Matrix/Softpak.
  2. Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to make existing Quality Management System more Effective and Efficient.
  3. Provide regular direction, mentorship and coaching to QA team members.
  4. Develop and derive dynamic test strategy and approach that supports existing different software development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, Iterative etc. And take a hands-on approach to implement that strategy.
  5. Provide Quality Assurance leadership and be ultimately responsible for ensuring product quality.

OTHER RESONSIBLITIES
  1. Be highly committed to implement world class automation testing.
  2. Evaluate and implement appropriate software testing tools (defect reporting, integration and traceability, test-cycle-specific tools, debuggers, profilers, data-generators, data analysis tools, statistical regression and charting tools).
  3. Plan, organize and monitor the execution of work assignments for the Quality Assurance Team as and when required.
  4. Lead efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable QA processes and procedures to provide more effective quality methods within the function in support of providing quality products.
  5. Establish and maintain good/healthy working relationships with other functions - Software Development, PMO, SPI etc. and with internal and external customers as well.
  6. Liaison with human resources manager to ensure hiring of top quality human resources and their skills and career development.
  7. Recommend appropriate technical/non-technical trainings for his/her team.
  8. Organize in-house trainings, workshops and take appropriate measures to ensure domain understanding and facilitate technical grooming of functional managers/ associate managers.
  9. Participate in planning and reviewing the annual budget for expenses and resources to facilitate achievement of organization’s business objectives.
