We are besteckliste.com - a global e-commerce company based in Berlin, specialising in luxury tableware with over 30,000 articles from 32 premium European brands, with a particular focus on cutlery and porcelain. With a track record of serving over 50,000 customers in the last 20 years, the new owner is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to help grow the business on multiple fronts. We are open to receiving applications for this director position from Pakistan, as our company operates on a remote-first approach and the CEO, who used to work in Lahore, values the Pakistani work ethic.
Tasks:
- Content management: You define the content and technical standards for product descriptions and images. You search for and manage executing designers and authors. SEO experience is a big plus.
- As the shop has unfortunately not been updated for a while, around 3,000 new items can be created.
- Pricing: You have the authority over pricing on multiple platforms and manage it through our ERP system. This means that you input price lists, track competitor prices on distribution channels, and make decisions. Currently, this is done manually, and in the next step, necessary scrapers and tools should be built.
- Marketplaces: You are responsible for ensuring that relevant marketplaces (Google Shopping, Amazon, eBay, etc.) are supplied with data feeds. If required you can decide which data management tool is required. You will be supported by our software developers.
- Technical Website Improvements: You keep an overview of the website and all its technical facets. Tech debt lies in the URL structure, as the site currently has 240,000 pages indexed instead of the actually necessary 60,000 pages.
