Job Description
Act as important member of Infrastructure team for planning, designing and implementation.
Key contact person for all communications between the IT department, vendors and end-users.
Building RFPs and evaluating vendor proposals;
Vendor management with SLAs and contracts management.
Develop, maintain and upgrade servers, storages and backup infrastructure environment.
Maintain availability of the services as per the set KPIs.
Job Specification
Hands-on experience on Microsoft Windows NT/XP/Vista/7/8 and Windows Server 2003/2008.
Experience on website management, content management, SEO and SMM.
Knowledge of IP, DNS, DHCP, IIS Server. [Exposure of JIRA would be added advantage.]
Knowledge of configuring and maintaining network printers and related peripherals.
Management of ISA Server, Active Directory and Group policy of Domain Controllers.
Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
Hands-on experience on backup/restore products.
Technical support for people using the network.
Knowledge of power, cabling and UPS.
Should be proficient in MS Office specifically in Excel and Access.
JOB Responsibilities
Designing, configuring and managing LAN/WAN Networks
Installing and managing new software/hardware (servers, printers, work stations etc.)
Installing anti-virus protection with periodic upgrade
Fixing network faults
Periodic Servers & Systems Backups
Training staff on new systems
Planning future improvements
Tracks hardware/networking issues and drives solution;
Troubleshoot and reproduce problems and define workarounds
Creates workarounds when standard procedures have failed and ensures issue resolution in a timely fashion.
Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices.
Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Any other duties assigned which are in the best interests of the organization.
