THE CANCER OF POVERTY

THE CANCER OF POVERTYArticle BY: Fazeel imtiazThe rising poverty is a result of deepening social apathy towards Any Nation. poverty is not a flue, it is an cancer’’. So How can we define the Poverty? Poverty is general scarcity or dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money(Simple) is that. Poverty cannot be define in single way As poverty is Hunger, It is lack of shelter It’s like a disease, such a disease in which person is not being able to go to Doctor. Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime. (ARISTOTLE, Politics) In The World Where The 1% Of the Eleite society Population owns the 40 % of the Planets wealth. In the world where 34000 Children die Every single day because of the poverty & the preventable disease’s The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the 41 Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (567 million people) is less than the wealth of the world’s 7 richest people combined and where the 50 % of the world’s Population lives on less than $2 a day. One Thing Is very clear that SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG. Even though many developing countries, especially China and India, have been growing very rapidly, some of the poorest developing nations, particularly those of sub-Saharan Africa, face deep poverty, unmanageable international debts, economic stagnation, and widening international inequalities in living standards. There are today more than 1 billion people (about one-sixth of the world population) who live on less than $1.25 a day! A world where millions of people starve each year not only is unacceptable from an ethical point of view but also can hardly be expected to be peaceful and tranquil. The poverty is an cancer because it spreads like an cancer in any society Even if u see only less than one percent of what world is now spending every year on weapons and Wars was needed to put every child into school by the year 2015 and yet it didn’t happen. At least 1 billion children live in Poverty (1 in 2 children in the world) .700 million live without adequate shelter, 450 million have no access to safe water, 287 million have no access to health Services .10.6 million only died in 2003 2004 before they reached the age of 5(or roughly 30,000 children per day. The Global Elimination of poverty Is least an Impossible Goal. The reason for this is due to the Overwhelming Selfishness of human Race. We Generally Don’t Agree to do things that don’t benefit us and Elimination of poverty is something that would benefit us but that benefit would be difficult to achieve and too many people would fight Against it for their own benefit. Poverty is a perception it is a status which is bestowed on people who have relatively little even in societies of plenty. That's why we probably can't really ever "end" poverty. To see a world in which so many people have less than you and to want them to have more is really difficult to achieve until unless we can try our best to take determined policy to defeat this type of Cancer because Poor Nations always remain poor until their institutions & Governance remains poor Lack of education, tends us to move through lack of employment in any society. The country which is usually spending less on Education will face high level of unemployment, poverty and illiteracy rate in any nation as I have discussed in my previous Article WHY ECONOMY MATTERS;http://www.hamariweb.com/articles/article.aspx?id=65864 (any country which tends to Invest less on Education will fail to create enough jobs will face high degree of Poverty level when economy is growing at slower pace as compare to its population it does not make one’s nations rich means the GDP per capita which is also well known by the standard of living in any country real output per person because material things are the key elements of Economic wellbeing. A country which is able to produce more stuff with fewer resources is usually Able to obtain other important things like Food, shelter clean water & freedom) In addition, people who live in countries with higher GDP per capita tend to be more educated and live longer) The causes of Poverty can’t be described in a single factor There are Thousands of causes & Reasons of poverty Like Economic causes : Unemployment; Lack of Foreign Investment ; Use of Backward technology ; Low income Levels; Low per capita income; Absence of Credit facilities ; Low Level Productivity ; Inflation ; Imposition of Taxes; & Low Rate of Capital etc. Poverty is not Something Bad But to Remain Poor and Accept this Poverty Is Really Bad .In mostly Developing countries Poverty Level is being increasing day By Day. It will take determined policy actions to banish poverty because poverty is something that cannot be described it can only be felt.
