- Always be punctual. Or reach office half an hour earlier. This way you will sit on work , work will not sit on you.
- Always wear neat and clean dress. Keep in your cupboard 3 or 4 dresses pressed in advance and also extra pair of socks and other garments. Atleast 3 or 4 extra pair.
- Be polite with others even if you do not want to be so and avoid giving direct refusal to any colleague.
- If you can complete a task with in 2 days then always commit 3 days time for it. So if anything wrong happens you have 1 extra day to cope with it.
- Always try to make friends with person on high posts. Never refuse any work to them. Your name should be in their good book.
- Always keep your manager informed on any issue.
- Follow the company culture.
- Must have your own transport ( bike or car) . Don't be dependent on others for anything. If possible, offer lift to other colleagues to create your influence on them. If they are not influenced, don't offer them, change person.
- Avoid fighting or debate with others , just deal any matter with politics.
- If anything wrong happens, you need to have positive explanation for it and immediately give this explanation to every one involved or informed.
- People sitting around you must favor you even if you are wrong. So make strong friendship with then at any cost.
- Its all about impression. Present that you are more informed and intelligent and happy than others even if you are not.
- Don't stick to your seat. Show that you are doing something important so its good if you talk with others on what is your current assignment and walk from one place to another to create a felling of something important is being done by you.
- Don't fight with some one who is more experienced and technically sound than you even if you are right. You can use the word bhai along with their name to convey you have respect for them.
- Offer some money to pens for any extra work you assign to them. Like asking for tea on off hours or for photocopy or some other errand.
- If you have to highlight others weakness or your intelligence then do it tactfully so you convey your message to your senior but do not give bad impression to that colleague.
- Always laugh even if you badly want to weep.
- Try to get hold of the work which has more responsibility than data entry or work load.
- Plan on it and note important things in your personal diary with possible answers and explanations you may and will have to give in certain situations. Work out and on it in advance. Write good and bad experiences so you do not repeat bad experiences.
- Do not show you political or religious association. Use general statements.
