5 TIPS TO BUILD YOUR EMOTIONAL HEALTH

People who are emotionally strong and have good emotional health can easily control their behavior and emotions. They can easily handle challenges of life, can easily recover from setbacks and make good relationships. Being emotionally strong sounds very fantastic until we are faced by rejection, failure or any tragedy. When our emotions are not in our control, it is very rare that we choose a healthy response to any situation, mostly we react instinctively. We might try to run away from the situation, lash out on someone or obsess over every detail.Do you ever bother to monitor your emotional health or do you ever try to build up you emotional health?. Honestly speaking most of us don’t even try to be emotionally strong. Being in control of your emotions in not an easy task but following are few tips that will help you to build your emotional health.APOLOGIZE WHEN YOU ARE WRONG.Our pride is on the biggest reasons we don’t apologize for our mistakes. We start learning importance of a simple apology from school level but often, our pride keeps us from practicing this basic skill. A simple apology can be most powerful thing for both parties involved in the matter. Firstly, It can help to repair damaged relationship. Secondly if done correctly, your apology can help to lesser your feelings of guilt and inadequacy. This is possible that you might not be forgiven, but knowing that you have tried will give you feeling of satisfaction and peace of mind. Apologizing when you are wrong is a good habit but keep one thing in mind that you have no need to be sorry if you are not wrong. Being sorry for being right is one of the most dishonest things you do to your self.SPEAK KINDLY TO YOURSELF.
We always try to be nice to friends, family and even to strangers but this is a harsh truth that most of us talk to us in much more harsh way than we really deserve. Buddha once said, You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. Keep this saying in mind, love yourself, be kind to yourself. Notice the way you speak with your best friend who is feeling down. Notice the words, notice your behavior, notice your tone, notice your response. Notice everything you do to help your friend to overcome the situation. Next time you get emotionally down or face any situation, treat yourself like you would treat your best friend. Instead of harsh words and criticism, regard yourself with kindness and compassion.
BUILD YOURSELF UP AFTER REJECTION.
Rejection is taken as very big deal by most of us but believe me it’s not a big deal. Everyone gets rejected at some stage of life. When you get rejected in a job interview what you do? You might feel down or think yourself as a loser. This response is logical but not beneficial in any situation. Stand up and stand tall after being rejected. Build yourself, be confident and try something better, apply for better job, prepare for better job. Talk to your self, focus on good qualities, you might say I didn’t get this job but my interview skills are getting better, i came to know about my weak points. With little more hard work and practice i will surely get the next one. Believe in yourself, you will end up in the place you are really meant for.
ASK FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED.
Being self sufficient is a good thing but there is nothing wrong in asking for help when needed. Ask for help when you are worried about your emotional health, and this doesn’t necessarily have to involve any professional service, but it’s a good idea that you are well aware of your condition. Reach out to family members or friends and simply tell them that you are not feeling well. Be honest and tell them your problems, you’re sure to find the solution.
TAKE A BREAK
In the time, when it feels too much or you are stressing out, take a break. Take deep breaths, don’t do anything. If you are feeling too much down, go on a vacation, spend time with your family and friends. Discuss your problems, listen to their problems and surely you will get better.

We have to slow down and deal with what is troubling us, so that we can enjoy the simple joy of being happy and at peace with ourselves, wrote Jess C. Scott.Take care of your emotional health as much as you care for your physical health. Make emotional health a priority. Life will not get any easier, but believe me you will find a new power and strength to cope with problems.
