While having argument with my office colleges something came in mind as a topic to talk about era of stones where the voyage got on track from Cave. In this era, life was based on survival concept only means they used to find cave for refuge and hunt for foodstuff and when they had big animal like goat, deer or cow they consider it as a souvenir. No perception of desire used to exists.
One of my friend added the comparison between stone era to current era, to whom we call modern era which is actually not; because in this Era we are living most awful and bounded by desires. In Stone Era people used to hunt in a group but now each one has to survive by his/her own. Previously people share their food but now each one has to get his own. Previously if anyone gets hurt each and everyone takes care of hurt like it was responsibility of all but now if anyone got hurt on road, no one even takes one to hospital for treatment. He further added that this Era is of self interest only.
At this instant something clicked in my mind that this is journey from needs to desires. Stone Era people used to live for their needs while having civilization, love and care for others and they used to live in tribes just to be recognized among them and to protect their families as well. As compare to that modern era is based on desires and made us so called high technology based civilized people; who are just interested to furnish their lifestyle.
One of our senior who was listening our conversation since beginning without being noticed added while walking in to that discussion that the biggest resource of desire is money and obviously that is the main source to fulfill rest of all and this is the desire which has made man of this era most terrible than a wild animal in jungle. He further added that this eagerness of desire has brought a man to illegal activities and even if the desire, which pressurized a man to start illegal activities is completed even though desire of money seize the man in it and remains dominant till that man is dead and then unending series of illegal activities starts.
One of an employee said that this desire then become the main stake for class system in society. Those who have huge amount of money is known as Elite class, the one who is having hand to mouth earning is known as the middle class and the one who remains unable to earn sufficient for bread and butter of family for at least two times is called poor and one who has no source of earning and no appropriate, to whom we call beggars of roads and streets are called cheap.
During this race of desire fulfillment, the gigantic marketing think tanks step in and get a lion’s share because people are already contaminated with disease of desire and they provide the temporary relief to them with variety of products for their desire which attracts them but as I, already mentioned above that once the desire is completed it increase thirst to have more.
On this one of my friend added that actually in stone era there was no currency which is distributing countries under the tag of valuation as we have number of currencies available in world with which grading system breath for example such amount of dollar is equal to such amount in Rupees. Still the question raised and remained unanswered on what circumstances country’s currency is evaluated worldwide.
Actually he got point in this era we are actually having grading system on having huge money. When this comes to people then desire starts to have more and more money of own country as well as of that country as well who have high valuation round the world.
So we came to conclusion that this desire scheme has brought us to no humanity, thinking of self, careless attitude for others and obviously made us even most horrible then wild animals who eat other animals for food only but today man has became so ferocious who can kill anyone for own desire.
Overall Comparison:
Shelter was a need to hide in from rough weather and wild animals but now it has became desire to have big, highly decorated and luxury place to live under standards.
Food was a need but now as per desire of variety under the tag of royalty.
Water was the only need to drink and get rid of thirst but now desire to have highly nominated beverage in soft and alcoholic drinks.
Covering body with leaves was need but now cloth has reached to unending desire of fashion and brands.
Transportation was a need to travel from one place to another while now under the desire of class system transportation is one of the biggest factors for status.
Wind was the need to have pleasant atmosphere and proper breath but now the desire to have hi-tech air condition bigger and coldest.
Weapons were used to self defense or to hunt for bread and butter but now there is variety in atomic bomb to get superiority in the world.
Except than the basic needs which got captured by desires, there are many other things as mode of communication and desire to have latest in it and have ruined humanity concept from everyone like one should have huge amount of money, well decorated home, new model vehicle, decent dressing, new type of dishes to eat each day and some are more conscious to have each time, latest smart phones and many more.
In order to acquire the high standard, upper class and elite life style people started degrading those who are incapable to have it, forgetting morality, respecting others and they started measuring people by caste, grade, breed and color by which this modern world have became ferocious for each and everyone.
We think that we have versatile nature and we are up to dated but we are moving a head to ruin this world. We are hypnotized by desires by which we can’t see what is happening around us, who is happy? Who needs us? What moments are getting missed? What to talk and what not to talk? In our general discussion we discuss desires but there is no sign for hope.
Under the control of desires and in race of its acquisition people start choosing wrong ways to fulfill their evil desires and from this points starts corruption, murder, terrorism, differentiation among people, devaluation of lives and only valuing money.
Evil desire has no religion, no caste, no grade, no royalty and it has no success as well. THINK AGAIN.
