However, this giant I.e. social media is not as favorable as it seems. It always has a darker side behind an exceptional cover.

The rapidly growing technology has great impact on not only just our lives but also the world around us. Furthermore, the internet usage in many developing countries is increasing day by day. People are joining and interacting globally almost every time every day through social media networking. Every moment is shared with the love ones who far from their home. Such as wedding, birthday celebrations in fact every moment is captured and shared through video, calls, pictures, voice messages etc. Mostly, people share their new dresses, hangouts, dinners and much more. These websites are to make and strengthen relationships among friends, family, collogues and to promote a positive and healthy relationships. In Addition, social media websites facilitates organizations to market their products and services. It is a very easy and convenient platform for everyone to start new business and to promote the abilities and skills. Many people show their talents through short films or videos and these films are viral in no time. And you can show your talent to the whole world .Furthermore, websites like linkedin are the enormous forum to find high-quality jobs and to hire skilled and qualified employees.

On the other hand, the break necking trend of social media is becoming a poison for our society .We are now being addicted by it so badly that we spend countless hours using these sites which nothing else but a total waste of time. It’s a website which is becoming a web in which many people have trapped and lost their lives. According to Hindustan Times the research from the Nation Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) shows, around 70% rise in cyber crimes annually between 2013 and 2015. There are some cases recorded in which girls’ pictures and sexually exploit videos are used to harass them or blackmail them for money. Besides this, social media is fragiling our communication skills. Confidence and communication skills are developed by talking and interacting with real people around us not the ones who are at the other side of the screens .everybody are so indulged in socializing on their phones rather than talking to those who are sitting around them. This is also a big drawback of social media. Mostly, people are getting fake. They put status of being happy or sad just to grab attentions of others. They show their fake and pretended feelings. Psychologists say that uploading pictures on social media is a way to see our reflection from other in order to understand who we are and do we look like. We can say that it’s a sign of lack of confidence and uncertainty.

To sum up, excess of everything is bad. Social media is great forum of communication, opportunities as well as threats. It’s all about how we perceive its usage. The impact of social media has a significant influence on lives so its our responsibility to use it fairly and not to misuse it. The people who avail it prosper but those who mistreat it leads to harm, depression and stress.
